MEET THE TEAM

Leon joined Aircraft Propulsion Leasing in 2017 and has been concentrating on the purchase of engine inventory, as well as building long-term relationships with existing and new customers around the globe. Since that time, the portfolio has grown from approximately 15 engines to over 100 turboprop engines and a dozen aircraft.

Leon started his career as a pilot flying approximately 13,000 hours in aircraft ranging from the Mitsubishi MU-2 and Twin Otter to a number of different business jets. Prior to joining APL, he held several positions at Corporate Flight Management / Contour Airlines, a charter airline and MRO in Tennessee. Starting as a pilot, he was also the Chief Pilot, Vice President of Aircraft Maintenance and Chief Operating Officer during his 19-year tenure. Leon is still an active pilot and has held a Flight Instructor certificate for more than 35 years.

Leon has two children and lives in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking and gardening. Growing up in the Netherlands until age 18, he is still a fervent supporter of football club Ajax Amsterdam.
